Karsons for Good is an initiative that was established a number of years ago to help those less fortunate around the world. This year, Karsons have been working closely with UK charity Hope for Children, on a life changing project to build teachers’ accommodation in Nepal together with the local NGO Childreach Nepal.

The importance for the accommodation is to create a decent way of living for the teachers as they are living in makeshift accommodation at the moment. To be able to rest, plan their teaching and just have some privacy, would mean that not only will they have a home, they can also give the children the best possible education. As we want to enable these kids, allow them to reach their potential, this is a vital step.

As part of our fundraising, our director, Hashil Ramjee was running the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon. As you know by now, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income through fundraising events. The Virgin Money London Marathon alone, which should have taken place on Sunday 26 April, is the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event, which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019.

To keep our efforts alive Karsons has invited all our friends, clients and family to join our team in support of Hope For Children in the national "2.6 Challenge", and we’d like to invite you too! Join virtually in your own safe space with whatever doable 2.6 or 26 challenge you can do. This could be a run, cycle, push-ups or any other challenges that you can think of in km, miles, number of reps! To make things interesting we are also giving away a prize to the most creative entry!

We have already received some outstanding entries, including marathon runs, meditation, baking, lunging and garbage tossing. What small thing could you do to make a big difference?
