The Maylands building is a large commercial space situated in Hertfordshire. The building has 147,000 square feet of space for grade-A offices serving multiple long term tenants, provisioned into three wings that span a total of five floors.
Initially Karsons were introduced to review the condition of the M&E services and draft a capital expenditure plan. It was clear that the various equipment had not been well maintained, so Karsons drafted a maintenance specification, for which an asset register was an integral part of the process. We then tendered the maintenance contract back in 2021 and we have been the building’s M&E consultancy offering support on a diverse range of aspects relating to The Maylands operation. These consist of maintenance related matters, lift consultancy, budgeting, advice on equipment repairs or replacements and project management.
